Description
Most of modern competition RC gliders feature specific enclosures for added weight, aka a ballast.
Usually, it is located either in the wing or in the fuselage and is designed to keep the center of gravity of the glider unchanged, or adjust it slightly.
This is one of the easiest ways to change your glider handling for different weather conditions.
Currently, the following models available here feature a ballast enclosure:
- Falcon F3K & Falcon 2 F3K have ballast enclosure openings on the underside of the fuselage, secured in place with a slip-on nosecone. All sticks can be adjusted by the length in order to gain a desired CG when the ballast is installed.
- Falcon F5K features ballast tube access on the top, when the fuselage hatch cover is open. The ballast secures in place with a simple “lock” that keeps it from moving forward or backward. All sticks can be adjusted by the length in order to gain a desired CG when the ballast is installed.
- Joy F5J has ballast enclosures in the wings. You need to install the ballast blocks during the assembly.
- Berkut F5J has a round ballast tube installed in the fuselage. To aaccess it, you need to remove the fuselage cover and slide the ballast in/out.
Please, select the ballast for the glider you need above and add it to your order to increase your glider flying envelope.
