Description
The new Lull is a balsa 1.2m DLG kit that provides great stabilty and flight performance compared to 600mm and 1000mm models, preserving the manueverability with 2-channel controls.
In addition, it now comes with an optional matching powerset & folding prop, if you prefer a more relaxed powered launches.
It features a built-up balsa dihedral main wing with a round carbon fiber spar, leading and trailing edges.
The assembly guide is available online, here.
For more building tips please, check a this RCGroups thread.
Beginner-Friendly 2-Channel 1200mm DLG/eDLG
In order to maximise the launch performance, the wing have no contol surfaces and it proves to be a right choice. This way the wing has no weak areas which may cause fluttering during the initial launch phase.
As a result the wmain wing is stiff and solid and will suite both right and left hand launchers.
The tails here uses 3D-printed standoffs for the tailplane and a specifically designed optional “boom sleeve” for the fin that makes both parts removable for transportation or storage.
Please, note that you will get the solid-printed tailplane standof included with the kit.
The fin mount makes the assembly more complicated and adds weight to the tail which increases the AUW of the complete glider.
Due to this fact, the fin mount is optional, and will not be included with the kit but can be printed separately as needed.
The AUW comes out at a 160-195g point which will make it a great beginner RC glider.
Bolt-On Servo Installation
V2 version of the kit also comes with a 3D-printed servo mount, designed to fit Hitec HS-40 or KST X06/A06.
It fixes on the bottom plate of the fuselage with two M2 screws and creates a solid assembly.
Lull 1.2m DLG Kit Contains:
- Laser-cut balsa and plywood sheets
- Carbon fiber tubes and rods required for assembly
- Printed assembly plan, mainly needed for building a main wing
- Accessories bag, that includes wing and tailplane mounting bolts, 3D-printed tail mount & servo frame, music wire for torsions, CNC control horns, plastic sleave for pull cable guidence, etc.
Complete Your Build
Additionally, here are some extras to your order which will provide an exceptional building experience.
Check out the Lull DLG wing stickers, tail mounting bolts, and electric props as a bare minimum 🙂
Also, if you need a better transportability, get a Split-Wing kit for Lull DLG. Not for beginner builders though.

Great communication with the seller, excellent service.
They shipped my package well-packed.

Excellent kit, very well made. All parts laser cut and fit together beautifully.
I haven’t made a balsa model for about 15 years and this was my first kit getting back into it. Was great fun and straight forward to build.
I would highly recommend this Lull kit.

I have not built the Lull yet, but the kit appears to be quality all the way through, the documentation (online) and plans very good, and FlightPoint got it shipped to the States from the Ukraine quite swiftly. No fooling around. It was when the kit hit the east coast that the US postal service went all weirdy-goosy and the kit took worrisome days-and-days to reach the Chicago area.
Truth to tell I would give FlightPoint and the Lull kit 4-1/2 stars but for the ugly rounded pug nose on the glider, something I will change when I adapt it for an electric arm.
And, Cheers! Buy one to support Ukraine!

Cute design. Have not even started building yet but the wood quality is superb, the pack of small hardware has some great parts and the full size plans are neatly drawn and full of helpful hints. I really feel like I got good value for the cost.

Correspondence and delivery was as good or better than anything big fat Amazon would muster.
The model is a great looking product – just need to get around to building it and spring is here now in Canada. Bought it to get up to speed as I haven’t done anything like this since the early 80’s. I’m reestablishing the skunkworks along the DLG path as gliders have always been my passion and didn’t even exist back in my scratch-modeling days. Just wondering if I’ll end up on my 70-year-old-butt doing the DLG pirouette. Thank you Flight Point!

Great kit. Good price.
Light-weight, roomy nose area. Very nice wing.
It’s a nice size to fit into the trunk of regular sedan without having to remove the wings.
Goes up in lift.
Can’t go wrong for the price.
~177g AUW.

Wonderful kit, the laser cut wood and other materials are very good quality. The plans are excellent and the online instructions are very informative. I would highly recommend this kit to anyone who is interested in this type of model glider.

Easy build. Great result
Jon (verified owner) –
beware…. the plans are to a different scale than the wood pieces. If you use the plans to glue pieces to the boom, it will be wrong. Just use the plans for reference, not for pinning/gluing positioning.
otherwise nice kit.
Evgen –
Hi Jon,
Thanks for putting this up.
The fuselage is scaled on the plan indeed, so shouldn’t be used to measure the positions of the tail parts.
