At FlightPoint we take development seriously and so happy to open pre-orders for our new product – the Lull – 1.2-meter balsa DLG.
1200mm wingspan offers a little more stabilty compared to 600mm and 1000mm models, preserving the manueverability with 2-channel controls.
This is a completerly new model that we designed from scratch, based on the hits and misses from the Shaka and Maverick.
It features a built-up balsa dihedral main wing with carbon fiber spar, leading and trailing edges.

In order to maximise the launch performance, the wing have no contol surfaces and it proves to be a right choice. This way the wing has no weak areas which may cause fluttering during the initial launch phase.
As a result the wmain wing is stiff and solid and will suite both right and left hand launchers.
The tails here uses 3D-printed standoffs for the tailplane and a specifically designed “boom sleeve” for the fin that makes both parts removable for transportation.
The flying weight is being projected at a 200g point which will make it a great beginner RC glider.
In addition, the fuse is designed to use large 9g servos, say HXT900, which are cheap and reliable, in case you wish to build on a budget.
However, feel free to choose some other, smaller options as well.
